Another 117,000 new U.S. citizens in Texas were from Asia — including 30,000 from India, 17,000 from Vietnam and 11,000 from the Philippines. Around 33,000 immigrants from African countries were also recently naturalized in Texas, from countries including Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia.
