Nor shall Our children Call Us Cowards!

You are worried. Some are scared. Some are apprehensive. Some are Mad. Some are Angry. Some are Happy. Some are Sad. Some are Ignorant and always will be.

But you have to make what some are now thinking is the Biggest Decision in your Lives. And is it Media Hype? Exactly what has brought you to your own trembling legs? Not knowing. Yes, not knowing the in’s and out’s of anything is so gosh darn confusing. And bothersome. And worrisome. But in ways, getting a Shot is now more like getting a New Car. And no matter what you pick, you’re gonna be stuck with whatever you pick. No Returns. No taking it back.

But with most of these Early Leaders in a Covid Vaccine, you must get a 2nd Dose of the same Vaccine you pick. And so, here is How I am rationalizing getting the Shots and which one-

Let me answer the Two Shot Question First. Okay?

When you get the 1st Shot It is like Your Body now being enabled to begin Looking Through a Book of Suspects trying to find the Culprit.

And with the 2nd Shot, your Body already NOW KNOWs who your Body is looking for and your Body goes right to them to Crush the Invading Virus.

Get the Analogy? Or its like your Body being given enough Anti-Virus Warriors to fight off Invading Virus Attackers.

Or like in a War, One Shot puts in the Forward Observers. 2nd Shot beings in the Main Force.

Simple ways to look at them. But will you participate? Will you take two Shots?

There are currently over 169 COVID-19 vaccine candidates under development, with 26 of these in the human trial phase. WHO is working in collaboration with scientists, business, and global health organizations through the ACT Accelerator to speed up the pandemic response. When a safe and effective vaccine is found, COVAX (led by WHOGAVI and  CEPI) will facilitate the equitable access and distribution of these vaccines to protect people in all countries. People most at risk will be prioritized.

The sooner a Safe Vaccine is created, hopefully the World will feel safe enough to take it. I hope the Vaccine will soon be a One and Done. No more Shots or worry about it.

Now, as I continue to read different Articles by very good sources, I hope you’ll take a moment to look at this very good PDF read-

Now, if you did, one thing is the lack of understanding of How bad Ebola was potentially going to be for the World and creating a Vaccine for it-

And Everyone is Concerned about the Speed of Covid Vaccines Developed! Yes, we are…it’s in our DNA of Concernship.

There are dozens of labs worldwide working on a Covid-19 vaccine, including yours. Is that a good thing, or should we be coordinating and focusing that effort more to maybe get a vaccine faster?

It’s a good thing. It’s actually important to test a lot of vaccines. We don’t want to put all our eggs into one basket, only to have that one vaccine fall short in clinical trials. If we could have five vaccines that are safe and work and are potent, that would be much better. It also reduces the chances for manufacturing bottlenecks. With five vaccines, maybe we could manufacture enough for everybody on the planet. But with only one manufacturer, I don’t think it will be possible.

But it needs to be done the right way. If you develop a vaccine that’s not powerful enough to counter the virus, it can actually make the infection harder to treat. What you could see are people becoming more susceptible to acquiring the infection and maybe more susceptible to severe disease. That’s something to really watch out for.

And those last two parapgrahs are exerts from the following site-

But here’s something about a relatively unknown in the Covid Vaccines-

One of the vaccine candidates (from Merck, Sharpe & Dohme/International AIDS Vaccine Initiative) uses recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus. What is that?

Vesicular stomatitis virus is a virus that primarily infects livestock (cows, horse, pigs). Here, it is being used as a vector delivery system, much like the human or chimpanzee adenoviruses. The modified vesicular stomatitis virus delivers the instructions for the SARS-CoV-2 protein into cells. This recombinant candidate works really well against Ebola and has been proven in the field; people developed immunity to Ebola pretty quickly after getting vaccine.

And that exert came from-

And two more-

How will we know if the vaccines work?

With most vaccines, people talk about correlates of protection – what you observe and the immune response are correlates or predict whether you will be immune or not. With most vaccines in the past, such as the vaccines for measles, hepatitis B and seasonal flu, a good antibody response is correlated with being protected. Specifically, something called a neutralizing antibody response prevents the virus from infecting the cell.

Are antibodies the only form of immune protection?

No. We do know that other immune responses are important and helpful. One, to develop a good antibody response it helps to have a good T cell response. T cells in your immune system help stimulate B cells, which can make antibodies better. There’s also parts of your immune system that you can train so that they recognize when a cell is infected with the virus so that your immune cells can kill them off. A lot of these vector vaccines are thought to be good at triggering multiple arms of the immune system.

But, I know you, as I, have tried not to over think the Covid Vaccines and the bottom line is that we want a perfectly Safe and painless COVID Vaccine experience. Yes, that and for the World to get back to a reasonably close appearance of her Old Self.

And the List of this And that sorts of things can be a Candy plate full of imp’s laughter. Well now, are you ready to join in that laughter or are you ready to be part of the fight to do what we must? And that is quite simply-

Step-Up and Be Counted! Get the Shot or Shots. We must. We must. But we must. Nor shall our Children ever call us Cowards when we do.

Here is a much better and more sophisticated write-up that I’m thinking you might enjoy reading-

I love reading the New England Medical Journal Articles!

And when I am completely confident on which Covid Vaccine my family and I will take, I’ll post it in a Blog.
