PATRIOTS DAY-A 5-STAR MOVIE!

PATRIOTS DAY is an excellent PhotoPlay.

Yes, it is.  Way beyond what I was expecting.  And let me warn you, better bring along a box of Tissue cause this one is about as hard a watch as SHENANDOAH was when I first watched it and the young son walked into the Church.  Yes, it was a moment of painful erupting emotions.  And I will never forget how the audience cried.

But get ready for a Movie that is going to take you deep into the Boston Marathon Bombing.  Yes, by the time the movie ends, you’ll be cheering too.  The crushing, crippling grip the Movie will have on your heart is unrelenting.  It really is.  And I can’t remember when I felt so engaged in a Movie as if I was there too.

And by the time you get to your third or fourth Tissue, you’ll almost be ready to hide in the back seat and peep your head over the front seat in the ride you’re in.  Yes. You will be sucked into this Movie and you will not be given any mercy.  No, you are in it now and it is an emotional rollercoaster ride with a few throw you off a Cliff a few times.  Yes, you’ll check several times to see if you’re the only one snotting up and tearing up.

But don’t worry. I promise you won’t be alone.  I mean this Movie pulls you into every aspect of this incredibly horrific event.  All of it is COVERED.  The Bombers. The Making of The Bombs.  The Boston P.D.  The F.B.I. And paramedics, medical personnel, the ambulances. And the ones injured and Killed.  Don’t worry, it’s a Great Movie. But a damn hard watch.  Part of that is that it is a true event from 2013.

And I can only applaud everyone involved in Making and Acting and Directing and Producing and Sript Writing and anyone who had any part in the PATRIOTS DAY Movie and helping on that fateful day in 2013.

By the time I finished this Movie, I asked my wife what she liked the MOST and it was the real footage used and included in this Movie.  And I was happy to see the limping Wahlberg and his Actress Wife giving exceptional Acting performances.  And so many others came in with great performances as well by Kevin Bacon and John Goodman.

But you know what happened in real Life and all of us watched this crazy wild event take place and the aftermath on TV.

But, you’re going to be taken into a Real Command Center during a Crisis and the Teams work feverishly unmasking the bits and pieces of evidence.  And then, one after another, they start to fall into place.  And you’re going for a masterfully executed thrill experience.  You surely will.

And I admit, I had put off watching this movie because it was a Really Ugly Event.  And I know it had to be a haunting experience for those that went thru it.  A bad time every day for some.  And man, I want you to grab a big three bag bowl of buttered Popcorn and a Box of Tissue and a drink and get ready to be glad at times and have your heart stolen from you at other times.  But please watch this-

5-STAR MOVIE! Do enjoy!
